A Draft Board is a private Board that allows you to make preliminary changes to a Shared Board without impacting the live Board. The changes on a Draft Board are private and only available to the user. To confirm the changes, the Draft Board needs to be published over the live Board.
When a Draft Board is created, the previous version of the Board will still be live. You can switch between the live Board and Draft Board anytime.
Only 1 Draft Board per Board is allowed for each user. Different users can have a Draft Board of the same Board.
Users in Draft Mode will see other users that are editing the same Board in Draft Mode.
How do I create a Draft Board?
If you are working on a shared Board, you will have to create a Draft Board to edit it. To create a Draft Board, click the pencil icon in the Board Toolbar.
Note: When you are in a Draft Board, you can click on the revert icon to return to the live Board.
How do I identify a Draft Board?
The "round arrow" icon indicates you have a draft going on. If you hover over your mouse the message displayed is the following:
To access your Draft board follow these steps:
Click on the "round arrow" - this will take you to your draft version of the board.
Click on the "bin" icon to disregard your draft version of the board.
The platform will always save your draft board in case you need to work on it at a later time. However, since multiple people can work on the same board simultaneously, we recommend you always "Publish" or "Discard" your draft to avoid overriding updates made by other users.
Once you do this, you will no longer see the "round arrow" but a "pencil" icon which allows you to "Edit Board and Widgets" (generate a new draft version based on the latest published version of the board)
