What is the 'Advanced metrics' feature?
The 'Advanced Metrics' feature allows users to set additional conditions and customize the metrics used in their widget. This enables more precise and tailored data insights by applying filters, thresholds, or specific criteria that go beyond standard metrics.
How do you get to the 'Advanced metrics' feature?
Step-by-step guide below
Click on the pencil icon to switch to draft mode
Then click on 'Setting' wheel
Scroll down to table setting to choose the metric and click on 'Advanced options'
Advanced
There are two sub-functions:
Metric | Cumulative shows the summation of data as it grows with time.
Metric | % of total shows the percentage of the value out of the total sum.
Compare
This feature allows you to compare a metric with different time period and also get the variance between the two time periods. Step-by-step guide below:
Select the time period as usual
Hover your mouse on the metric you want to compare
Click on "Advanced options" and then "Compare" tab
Select the time period that you would use to compare. Notice that it should be different from the one you selected in the main widget setting
Mark the "Add comparison" metric and if you would also like to have a variance metric
Click the "Apply" and "Save" widget setting
Period-over-period comparison
Period-over-period comparison allows you to compare a recent time period to the same time period in the past

Highlight
This metric is used to highlight results based on conditional color format or colored icons. Step-by-step guide below:
Hover your mouse on the metric you want to apply the function
Click on the "Advanced option"
Add the preferred rules and conditions and the respective colors for the cell
Click the "Apply" and "Save" widget setting
You can add several conditions under a rule.
Filter
This feature is used to sort out results that match your requirements.
Note: You can add up to 2 conditions and decide if you want to meet all or any condition.
Top or Bottom Results
This feature is used to rank the results in top or bottom order.
Example: I want to look for the top 5 boards with the most logins. I will go to the 'Top or Bottom results' tab and set the filter as 'top 5'. Then, the final result only shows the top five highest values in random order.
To sort the values in ascending order, you can click on the upper arrow and vice versa.
