Connecting LinkedIn to MSIGHTS using Data Sources

Connecting to LinkedIn from the MSIGHTS Platform is easy. You can contact your Client Success point of contact to help you get started or refer to the below step-by-step instructions in this article to create a source connection and configure a delivery schedule.

Log into MSIGHTS

  • From the login page, enter your MSIGHTS credentials and then click on Sign In.

  • If you have forgotten your MSIGHTS password, please click on "Forgot your password" for a password reset.

Navigate to Data Sources

  • Click on the application drop-down menu

  • Select Data Sources

Select the LinkedIn Ads or Lead Gen Connector

  • Click on the plug icon to begin configuring a connection

  • Select the source API you would like to connect. Names of different sources can be searched for by keyword or you can browse the selection of available sources by clicking on the categories shown in the tabs such as Display & Video, All Digital, etc.

Type in your credentials

  • Enter your MSIGHTS credentials and then click on Sign In

  • Click on Allow to grant access to LinkedIn

Select a delivery schedule

  • Select a source set if applicable

  • For reference only, the related Attributes and Metrics of the source will be displayed in the table.

    i) Search for field by keyword for easier reference

    ii) To compare source Attributes or Metrics Names against MSIGHTS Model Names, please click on Advanced View

  • Determine the frequency, time range and timestamp of the data collection.

  • Click on Next

  • Once the configuration is complete, you have the option of selecting a specific date range if needed. Click on Save & Continue to finalize the connection.

Within a few minutes, your data will be connected to MSIGHTS and available for reporting in both an original source data set (as-is) as well as a transformed data set where you can enrich or cleanse your data for more impactful analytics and report alongside other platforms.
