There are 2 types of Advanced filters available: (1) User Filters and (2) Default Filters. User Filters are available for every user, and Default Filters are only available for Admin users. For Admin users who want to apply Default Filters, please refer to How do I apply Default Filters in a Media Planner Widget?

  1. In any Data Grid Widget, click on the Advanced Filters button to display the configuration bar.

  2. If Default Filters are applied, making any edits to the filter settings will cause you to switch to using User Filters. This means that the view you filtered is only viewable for yourself. Other users will continue to see the view created by the Default Filters.

  3. On the left of the configuration bar, you may configure the filter rule by selecting the Attribute column, the Matching Rule, and the value to filter.

  4. On the right of the configuration bar, you may add, apply, hide, or remove the filter rule.

  5. Set up your desired filter configuration and click the tick icon to apply the local Advanced Filters.

  6. To remove User Filters: Click on the Filters Applied button to open up filter settings, then click the remove filters button on the right side of the widget. If there are any global Advanced Filters applied to the widget, they will be applied by default after local Advanced Filters are removed.

Note: Filters only change the way the media line item(s) are displayed and do not change the underlying data. For updating media line item(s), please refer to How do I update media line item(s) in Media Planner?

Using Field-Specific Search Filters

While the global search is great for broad queries, Field Search Filters allow you to narrow down your results by targeting specific columns. This is ideal for managing large datasets where you need precision.

How to Apply a Field Filter

  1. Locate the Column: Hover over the header of the column you wish to filter.

  2. Open the Filter: Click the Filter Icon located in the column header.

  3. Enter Your Criteria: Type your search term into the text box.

  4. Confirm: Press Enter on your keyboard or click the Blue Check Icon to apply the filter.

  5. These filters use AND logic. For example, filtering "Marketing campaign" by France AND "Ad serve Plan Name" by FRA will only show items that meet both criteria.

  6. How to remove Filters: click the Filters Applied button located at the top of the table, click the Remove Filters button and confirm your changes by pressing Enter or clicking the Blue Check Icon.
