In this article, you will learn how to apply User Filters in the MSIGHTS Media Planner Application.
Note: There are 2 types of filters available: (1) User Filters and (2) Default Filters. User Filters are available for every user, and Default Filters are only available for Admin users. For Admin users who want to apply Default Filters, please refer to How do I apply Default Filters in a Media Planner Widget?
In any Data Grid Widget, click on the Advanced Filters button to display the configuration bar.
If Default Filters are applied, making any edits to the filter settings will cause you to switch to using User Filters. This means that the view you filtered is only viewable for yourself. Other users will continue to see the view created by the Default Filters.
On the left of the configuration bar, you may configure the filter rule by selecting the Attribute column, the Matching Rule and the value to filter.
On the right of the configuration bar, you may add, apply, hide or remove the filter rule.
Setup your desired filter configuration and click the tick icon to apply the local Advanced Filters.
To remove User Filters: Click on the Filters Applied button to open up filter settings, then click the remove filters button on the right side of the widget. If there are any global Advanced Filters applied on the widget, they will be applied by default after local Advanced Filters are removed.
Note: Filters only change the way the media line item(s) is displayed and do not change the underlying data. For updating media line item(s), please refer to How do I update media line item(s) in Media Planner?
