In this article, you'll learn about Exchange Data Sets.

Exchange Data Sets are different types of user data sets that flow throughout the MSIGHTS Data Exchange. This includes various applications such as MSIGHTS Reporting and Data Services (Datacube and Dynamic Sandbox).

Exchange Data Sets can be categorized into 4 groups which will be segmented when choosing a Data Set in Reporting.

1) Warehouse / Original Source

This data set is an un-modelled data set coming directly from the data source. They contain all raw data we pulled from the source, and Business Rules are not applied. Some of these results could also flow into the Transformed Scheduled Data Sets based on the matching rules defined per source. These data sets are useful for Data QA.

2) Transformed / Live Sync

Transformed data sets unify different data sets forming modelled data.

Live Sync means any changes in Media Planner, Creative Library, My Metrics, etc. will usually update within 30 minutes reflecting the respective Exchange Data Sets.

3) Transformed / Scheduled

Transformed data sets unify different data sets forming modelled data.

Scheduled means any changes in Media Planner, Creative Library, My Metrics, etc. will usually update within a scheduled promotion/aggregation reflecting in the respective Exchange Data Sets after the next data promotion.

4) User Managed Data Sets

User-uploaded and created data sets using the “My Data Sets” feature. These results won't flow into the MSIGHTS Data Model and are not automatically updated. Only the owner can use the data set.
