In this article, you'll learn about the MSIGHTS Scoring functionality. This article shows how to view already created Scores.
Advisory: It is best to read the overview article first before the score configuration one.
What is the Scoring tool?
It shows the current 'Scores' built in MSIGHTS. It's an informative screen representing individual metrics and their respective marks, which are then considered for a final calculation of an overall Score.
This tool will help the user understand how any given score metric is calculated, and therefore help identify the corresponding, exact values being considered.
How can I access the Scoring?
Follow the next steps:
1. Click on the Left Panel and go to the bottom of the menu, under 'Data Workbench:
2. Click on 'Scoring:
3. A window will populate that shows the current groupings of Scores available within MSIGHTS:
Note that each group of Scores can have more than one individual metric used for more granular reporting, such as individual segmentation by Product or Market.
If this is the case, you will see the individual metrics by clicking on the desired grouped metric:
How To View Details of a Scoring metric?
The Scores will show which metrics are used for the final calculation and the percentage of the results that account for the final score.
To see these values, click on the checkbox at the left of the metric name, and then click on 'View Details:'
Thereafter, you will now see the Score's complete definition. The screen is divided into three parts: the Filters, the Scores, and the individual Metric Benchmarks:
1. Metric Filters
The metric filters are the MSIGHTS Attributes considered for this rule and will determine the final results of the metric. You can select the filters you require from the complete attribute list for your Scores. Only the results within this set of filters will show for any given Score.
2. Scored Metrics
The Score Metric section shows the current 'variables' used for the Scored Metric calculation. You can select any metric available in the MSIGHTS Platform.
3. Metric Benchmarks
These are the benchmarks used for any given set of results. If the variable metric results are within a certain range, then a 'Mark' will be allocated to each range.
Please note that the overall Score will never exceed 10.
